This season, Houston Creates takes you behind the scenes of the city’s vibrant arts community. Over the past year, we’ve had the privilege of talking with close friends about what the arts mean to them. Now, we’re excited to share four powerful profiles, produced in collaboration with CLICKON, a global strategic and production company known for working with brands like BBC Storyworks, the U.S. Navy, Land Rover, and Special Olympics.

These films feature beloved board member Jay Jones, longtime Ailey attendee Beverly Smith, Houston muralist David Maldonado, and Virginia Johnson, the visionary Artistic Director of Dance Theatre of Harlem, who recently retired.
