We <3 Jim Henson

What a time to be a Jim Henson fan! Celebrate the beloved creator and puppeteer with the brand new documentary now streaming on Disney+, and see his beloved Fraggles come to life at the Wortham Center in Fraggle Rock Live, February 14-15.

Remembering Jewel Brown

We’re remembering the remarkable life of Jewel Brown (August 30, 1937- June 26, 2024), a Houston-native who played an integral role in jazz and blues music in our city, and beyond.

Having grown up in Third Ward, Brown was a frequent performer at the Eldorado Ballroom, sharing the stage with icons like Louis Armstrong.

As we bid farewell to this Houston legend, we’re grateful for the melodies and memories she leaves behind.
