About Eldorado Ballroom Houston
Eldorado Ballroom is a program created and curated by Solange Knowles for Saint Heron—a reverent, avant-garde celebration of live performance in all its evolving, transcendent forms. Named for the historic music hall in Houston’s Third Ward, where Solange’s own artistic journey began, Eldorado Ballroom becomes both vessel and vision: honoring legacy, conjuring futures. Solange’s dedication to celebrating and preserving the legacies of Black artists through Saint Heron is evident in a lineup that features both contemporary and historic innovators whose work has deeply influenced music and performance art.
Debuting this spring in Solange’s hometown, the series unfolds in partnership with Performing Arts Houston through six luminous programs across three iconic venues—Jones Hall, The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, and the historic Eldorado Ballroom. Each evening offers a distinct experience, blending past and present through performances that pay tribute to artistic pioneers while highlighting the innovation of today’s creators.
This project is made possible in part through a City’s Initiative Grant from the City of Houston through Houston Arts Alliance.
