PERFORMING ARTS HOUSTON PAVES THE WAY: THE SALAZAR ARTS INTERNSHIP

For the first time, Performing Arts Houston is launching a paid internship program, sponsored by longtime supporter and Board Member, Mari Salazar. Salazar Arts Internship program participants will work alongside Performing Arts Houston staff in marketing & sales, finance, development, and production roles for eight weeks, learning the ins and outs of working in the arts, making connections in the Theater District, and gaining hands-on experience putting performances on stage.

Catherine Huang, a junior at Trinity University and current marketing intern, says “I had no idea these kinds of roles existed. I’ve spent time on stage performing, but seeing what all goes into making performances happen has been so eye-opening. I’m looking forward to starting my junior year of college off with so much experience under my belt, and I’m incredibly thankful to Ms. Mari Salazar for making this possible.”
